Selective database of foundation, corporate, and government funders. It also provides guides to grant writing. A fee-based service, if also offers a free newsletter.

Canadian Environmental Grantmakers Network 
A database of funders to environmental causes in Canada, all with links to their Web sites. Membership gives you access to additional information.

​

Candid (formerly The Foundation Center) 
Usually your first stop when researching foundations (private or corporate). Extensive online database of non-profits including funders (formerly the GuideStar), as well as reference materials, and tutorials on grant seeking. More in-depth access to the database is a fee-based service. 

 

TechFoundation 
Information on grants they make and information on other funders, as well as a newsletter about grants for technology.

Find links to the Web sites of state and local government agencies nationwide.

USA.gov 
Links to grants, nonprofit registration and tax information, and a number of other topics.

Corporate Resources

​Good 360 
Provides a catalog of donated products of all kinds and links to corporations that donate their products directly to nonprofits.

Sponsorship.com 
A wealth of resources about corporate sponsorship from the acknowledged experts in the field at the IEG.

 

Tech Soup 
Handles the software donations for a number of software companies, in addition to many other services.

Google 
The best general search engine on the Internet.

WhitePages.com 
A free national online telephone directory. Search results will usually return a complete address as well as the phone number. The premium service is well worth the cost, including more listings and sometimes email addresses.
